Denali Wood

Biography

Denali Wood is a Master of Health Informatics student at the University of Michigan‘s School of Information (UMSI). His interests lie in consumer health informatics, as well as using data-driven and user-centered approaches to improve health outcomes and health literacy of those in marginalized communities.

​

Before Denali joined the Health Justice Informatics Lab, he attended Michigan State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Information Science in 2024. He was also a research intern for UMSI in the past, where he contributed to the knowledge visualization platform known as 1Cademy by creating nodes that contain and cite research findings pertaining to neurodevelopmental disorders. As an undergraduate, Denali was also previously the president of Project Let’s Erase the Stigma, a registered student organization that aims to mitigate stigma surrounding mental health topics.
